By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Gen 2:1

Over the last couple of days we have seen how working like God results in Effectiveness as well as Excellence. The third quality we will look at is Efficiency. Efficiency is the ability to make the most of whatever resources you have, including time, money and energy. We see that God sets an example of rest for us. Rest requires you to stop from the grind of everyday life. Rest refreshes you and allows you to be charged up to work again. Also related to stopping is planning. Both resting and planning allow you to make the most of what God has given you.

As the weekend looms, schedule in some time to rest. Take that time to be away from work and to focus solely on God. Allow Him to recharge your batteries and to get you ready for Monday. Take a few minutes right now to stop and plan when you will rest this weekend. When you rest you give glory to God!
