So far this week, we know that God is a worker and He has made us to be like Him and given us the gift of work. Over the next three days, we will look at different qualities of God and His work that we can learn from and that have been given to us by virtue of being made in God’s image. In today’s verse, God commands that there be light and guess what He got – light? Quality number 1: Effectiveness. Getting the job done. Completing the task at hand as and when promised or due. I’ve heard someone say “the only way to get something done is to get it done”. Profound.

Write down 3 things that you need to do today. And tick them off as you do them. Allow each tick to go up to God as glory for the work He has given you. A quick tip, I daily write down lots of things that will be easy to do because I like to see many ticks on my daily planner as each one encourages me. For example if you need to text someone (for whatever reason), write it down, then do it quickly… AND TICK IT OFF…and give glory to God for making you so effective just like Him…then go make yourself a cup of coffee.
