1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.

2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Gen 2:1-3

Did you notice how many times the word ‘work’ appears in these verses? In the very first scene of history as we know it, the curtain opens to God working. In the beginning there was God and what was He doing? Working! What? You mean work isn’t a bad and necessary evil? Precisely; work is good. It’s a gift from God and He has set for us a perfect example.

What do you do everyday between 8 and 5? Whether it’s in a formal or informal setting, whether for your family or your boss, whether paid or voluntary, make a decision today to consider it a pivilege and a gift from God. Ask God to help shape your attitude, approach and commitment. Ask Him to come to work with you and make a difference!
