Prayer Killer #1: Prayerlessness

You do not have because you do not ask God. James 4:2

Prayerlessness is a killer. It creeps in so easily. Here God gives a staggering revelation – you’re not getting what you pray for because you don’t pray for it! Step number 1 towards getting your prayers answered is to pray. Prayer is good because it gets us in contact with our Heavenly Father, the ultimate source and also because it immediately expresses our admission of dependence on him and not ourselves.

Is your life full of activity and you trying to go about it your own way? How is your prayer life? Does it speak of one expressing dependence in God or one who has things under control? Evaluate your prayer life and using that as a starting point pray now and express your dependence on God. Ask him to help you to pray. Your life depends on it.
