Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

You would have heard it said that there are many ways to get to God. This is said by those who chose to ignore Jesus and to ignore the reason that he came and suffered on the cross for the redemption of mankind. Some have said that truth is relative, it’s what you make of it. Not so. Truth is absolute and is found in Jesus. To say truth is relative is to want to be in control, to be our own god, to refuse to let go and let one who is higher than us determine and display the truth about life, purpose and fulfilment. We want our right to choose, our right to believe what we want to believe. We fail to realise that we are not God and that he exists and has showed us the way to abundant life.

Don’t be deceived, God is real and he is who he says he is. Have you been playing God with your life and beliefs? Have you wanted to maintain control of your view about God? Do you need to let go of that and allow Him to shape your beliefs, absolutes, values and life? Pray, say sorry to God for wanting to be in control and ask him to show you the truth as it really is.
