21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behaviour. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation… Col 1:21-22

Here’s why the gospel is such good news. It’s because it describes a before and after scenario of what life is like before one meets Jesus as well as after you have had an encounter with Him.

I mean, just look at the two columns – they are miles apart! Here’s the good news: when Jesus Christ is Lord of your life, it changes EVERYTHING! It’s a different and new life altogether.

If this rings true for you, take time to thank him for what he has done in your life and the lives of others you know. Thank him for a new life and that you are “holy in his sight” regardless of where you feel you have fallen short of his standard in what you have or have not done. It’s by grace you are saved. If you cannot relate with this and you know that Jesus is not the Lord of your life, then pray and invite him to bring this radical change to you so that you can enjoy the newness of life in him.
