He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he.
Deut 32:4
I wonder if you remember or ever knew the song that quotes part of this verse: “Ascribe greatness to our God the Rock. His work is perfect and all his ways are just”. The Bible often refers to God as one who works and makes reference to his works. Whenever God’s works are mentioned in the Bible, you normally find good material for praise and adoration.
There are many aspects of God’s work that we can imitate and learn from, but ultimately there is something “out-of-this-world” about his works, that causes us to exclaim how great he is and to fall down on our knees in humble worship of him. Here are a few verses that speak about God’s works that you can place on your lips today as you give praise where praise is due. Enjoy praising God today.
Sovereign Lord, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do? Deut 3:24
I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. Ps 77:12
How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts! Ps 92:5
How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. Ps 104:24
